Editorial and legal note

Editorial and legal note for The Art of the Con: the book's stated method, documented fact versus invention, and rights information.

What is documented

The Sources section of the book lists the court decisions, parliamentary record, regulator releases, news reporting and Indonesian enforcement material that the narrative is built on. It is published in full at Sources.

What is invented

The book states that the following are inventions of the author: Marion Dalgety, Trevor Aylwood, Dave Prentice, Amanda Walsh, Made Wijana, Ron Hallam, Kate Ellery, Tisha and Reg Tolley, together with all private conversation, interior monologue, weather and domestic detail.

It further states that no allegation is made against any real person beyond what the listed sources report, and that where two parties dispute a fact, both accounts have been set out as published.
